Lounge & Linger Ltd Terms and Conditions – Hire
Once an invoice has been issued, the hirer agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions below.
Parties: The Hirer – Lounge & Linger Ltd, Queens Studio 7, 121 Salusbury Road, NW6 6RG, UK.
The Hiree – is the person or business named on the quotation / invoice.
No warranties: The hiree takes full responsibility during the hire period for all products hired from Lounge & Linger Ltd from date of hire.
The hiree is responsible for any damages, missing items which will be charged for at X5 of the hire price, as listed on invoices and quotes. This includes any packaging boxes which will be charged for at 30% of the charge hired goods. The hiree will be charged and invoiced after the hire date and must be paid for by return.
The hiree must report any discrepancies on collection or on delivery back to Lounge & Linger Ltd (if on dry hire).
Hired goods are to be used solely for intended purpose and not to be tampered with.
No items hired are to be lent or re-hired to a third party.
Lounge & Linger Ltd Vintage Collection furniture is authentic and unique and to be considered as signature pieces, so most items will vary in shades consistency. Imagery on the company’s website and social media provide a reasonable representation of the furniture hired.
Indemnity and Limitation of Liability – The Hiree shall indemnify Lounge & Linger Ltd against all claims, expenses and legal costs in respect of damage, injury or loss arising directly or indirectly from the use or condition of items.
Deposits – Deposits of 50% (of total quotation) are required to secure a booking and reserve products. Quotes are not confirmation of booking and a booking is not confirmed until a deposit is received.
Cancellation – Minimum of 5 working days’ notice must be given for cancellation on all orders (or item within an order) are non refundable.
Hire period – Standard hire period is 24 hours. Additional hire period is available and additional charges will be applied. The Hiree cannot extend hire period without prior agreement in writing with Lounge & Linger Ltd.
In the event that goods hired might become unavailable they are to be substituted with reasonable and similar goods upon consulting the hiree and if the replacement goods aren’t found acceptable the hiree will be refunded for the original goods that were requested.
International Hire – Contracts where furniture and props are taken out of United Kingdom will require a deposit.
Electrical goods hire are supplied as props and not for electrical use.
Payment – Once the booking has been confirmed, we require full payment to be made no later than 14 days prior to delivery/collection date. Payment can be made by BACS or via credit / debit card. No cash/cheque payments are accepted. Orders will not be delivered until full payment is received.
For Orders paid by credit or debit card, Lounge & Linger Ltd reserve the right to request to check the card, receive proof of identification and to obtain a signature to confirm payee prior to delivery.
Where another payment method is used, we reserve the right to wait until payment has cleared in full before delivery of the products.
Invoices will be sent to the Customer’s nominated billing contact. Unless requested otherwise, this will be by e-mail.
Where payment is not received in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of hiree, the hirer will be entitled to pursue any legal rights to recover the sums due. The costs of any such legal action, including any pre-litigious activity and any enforcement will be added to the debt. Where the products are recovered, all costs of recovery will be added to the outstanding debt.
VAT – All prices listed on quotes and invoice are subject to 20% VAT
Deliveries & Collections are quoted to ground floor venues. For venues / event space with difficult access where extra time is involved, additional charges will apply. Each delivery charge is calculated based on the individual job and takes into the account aspects like the distance travelled, how busy we are on your dates already, how many vehicles and crew will be needed and how long the set up or collection will take us. Lounge & Linger Ltd must be advised of venue access prior to delivery. Please note that there may by last minute changes to delivery / collection times due to circumstances beyond Lounge & Linger Ltd control.
Lounge & Linger Ltd will make every endeavour to carry our delivery and collection of goods at time requested but will not be financially liable for any delay in delivery/collection should this occur due to force majeure circumstances.
In a case of failure to deliver Lounge & Linger Ltd will issue a full refund of the goods order but will not be liable for any other costs involved such as compensation to the hiree for inconvenience caused.
It is the duty of the hiree to ensure an authorised representative accepts the goods and provide a signature that goods are in a satisfactory condition and without damage.
Additional Fees Charged:
- Standard delivery, installation, collection within London radius
- Additional fees apply depending on access to venue, additional van, additional crew, size of order
- Out of hours deliveries / collections (12am – 7am) incur additional fee
- Deliveries to ULEZ and / or CC zones incur a fee of £30/ day
- Overnight stay for crew on location will incur additional fee
- Delays in delivery or collection at venue / event space will incur additional charge of £60 per hour
- Dry Hire arrangements can be made for your order to be picked up directly by hiree at our warehouse, which incurs an additional hand over fee.
- Additional Fees CAD’s/ Mood Boards / Design are available on request.
- Plans, Layout and CAD charges apply to all Design work undertaken by Lounge & Linger Ltd.
